Written by Joe Calarco,
Winter Break is a play that depicts 19 teenagers, some who know each other, some who don't, wrestling through their friendships, relationships, family loss, graduation, and just their own roles in the world.
Our guest director for this show, Artie Cline, decided to have the audience sat on the stage. Due to this I had to design and build our own risers using about 20 different platforms (Below is a couple pictures of what the risers looked like). The design of the show was a multiple moving set. Each of the scenes had at least two set pieces. Some of the set pieces include: Two door flats (one for a backyard and one for a front yard), a bench, a couch, a stump, a kitchen counter and sink, etc.
